An extension to file is not an extension to pay tax.

Missouri automatically extends the filing deadline for any taxpayer who was granted a federal extension - filing a copy of the federal extension with the Missouri return (or by the return's due date) automatically extends the Missouri due date to match, up to a maximum of six months (except for taxpayers outside the United States). A taxpayer without a federal extension who still needs more time files Form MO-60.
