An extension to file is not an extension to pay tax.

This is the flagship page of the guide: one table covering every jurisdiction and every tax type. It is built directly from extensions-data.json, the site's single source of truth - no deadline, form number, threshold, or address appears here that is not in that data file, and every record carries its own primary-source citation and verified-as-of date.

Every named content area in this guide's scope is now built. Nothing is estimated or interpolated - each row is added only once its record is verified against its own primary source. The estate/inheritance page (estate & inheritance tax extensions page) now has zero open items - Kentucky and Nebraska were confirmed, not assumed, to have no general filing-extension mechanism after checking every operative section of their governing statute. The excise and payroll tax findings are likewise verified "no extension mechanism exists" answers, not incomplete builds. The sales/use tax page covers all 45 sales-tax-imposing states plus DC, and the other-extensions page's SUI/SUTA survey covers all 50 states plus DC with zero open items - full coverage of every jurisdiction in each of these surveys' defined scope.
